- Account Information: If you register or authenticate with us via email or Google Sign-In, we store your profile display name and email address. We do not store passwords; these are managed securely by Firebase Authentication.
- User Settings & Interests: We store your custom interest categories (e.g. AI & Machine Learning, Markets & Investing) and RSS configuration settings to personalize your feed.
- Usage Logs: System logs, search terms, and active tab states used to analyze mood trends on demand.
3. Data Processing & AI Integrations
Moodcloud utilizes Google Gemini AI to analyze sentiment and generate summaries for RSS article headlines. When mood analysis or summarization is requested:
- No personal identification data is sent to the Gemini API. Only public article text, keywords, and headlines are transmitted for processing.
- All AI processing is subject to Google's standard security and developer API policies.
4. RSS Feeds and Geographic Localization
Our service parses publicly available RSS feeds. We use your city and country information to provide localized and national mood trends:
- Geographic information is determined based on IP address routing and is processed clientside or stored locally to tailor the regional Trend Engine.
- Feeds registered in the configuration panel are shared globally across users to populate the localization database.
5. Advertising & Third-Party Analytics
We display sponsored advertisements through Google AdSense. AdSense may use cookies to serve personalized ads based on your visits to our site and other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting your Google Ad Settings.
6. Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser Local Storage and Firebase cookies to persist user sessions, selected themes (Light/Dark/Night), active filter history, and preference categories. These are essential for the operation of the web application.

We implement industry-standard security measures, including HTTPS encryption, Firebase security rules, and server-side input validation, to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure of your configurations.

You can modify, update, or clear your selected interest categories at any time from the Profile tab. If you wish to delete your authenticated profile and associated account data, you may submit a request on our account deletion page.
